What type of practice opportunity is best for you? We’ll share first-hand perspectives on solo, multi-specialty and academic practices, combined with timely and useful
information you’ll need for starting your practice.

What makes a successful rhinoplasty surgeon? Experts from the Rhinoplasty Society will explore the essentials, technical principles and artistic pearls for mastering primary rhinoplasty. Topics include: shaping the nose using the endonasal and open approaches; managing principles in ethnic rhinoplasty; implementing the open approach to primary nasal reshaping; managing the cleft /traumatic nasal deformity; and getting primary rhinoplasty right – the first time – by applying 10 foundational principles for success. The presenters will discuss their philosophy, the matters that are crucial to the successful rhinplasty and how to avoid the
pitfalls. Bring your questions and cases for two interactive panel discussions with the faculty.

Application Review Session/Grant Mentoring Session

Established Plastic Surgery researchers meet with grant applicants (usually residents or junior faculty) whose grants have not been funded by The PSF, as well as those individuals looking for mentorship on grants they are planning to submit for upcoming grant cycles (e.g., The PSF or other funding agencies), to review their grant applications and give feedback on improvements. Google’s Director of Americas Sales, Brian Schmidt’s presentation “The Acceleration of Everything” queues up how technology is fueling consumers’ insatiable thirst for medical information – and what it means for your practice. Bring your laptop for a hands-on breakout session with Google’s support team and leave with an understanding of SEO/SEM, Search, Analytics and AdWords.

Additional workshop topics include: Strategies to create a dynamic and interactive website; practical ideas for designing new (or leveraging existing) content for patient education; simple techniques to incorporate social media into your practice workflow, and pearls for managing your reputation online.

The program recognizes inspirational/exemplary reconstructive plastic surgery patients, nominated by their ASPS Member Surgeons, whose lives were changed by plastic surgery and have since been paying the favor forward to others in need.
